Gaetan Vigé takes the top stop in Morzine and is crowned the 2018 national champion.
In one of the most fiercely competitive national championships, Vigé took the title up against the likes of Bruni, Vergier and Pieron.
After a crash in qualifying, Gaetan dropped in slightly ahead of the top field of riders. Whilst the weather had played havoc on the track, Vigé was able to pull out a top to bottom run ahead of the down pour that ensued for the remaining riders.
‘It is unfortunate that the other riders had to tackle the track in the rain but I was pleased with my performance on the day and am so excited to be the French National Champion. This is an incredible result for me this season and am grateful for all the support” – Gaetan Vigé
Gaetan will now head to the US open in Killington, Vermont ahead of the next World Cup in MSA where he joins team mate Brendan Fairclough.
