2014- New Season, New Goals

Brendan Fairclough, Patrick Thome, Noel Niederberger and Emilie Siegenthaler will keep it wide open for Gstaad-SCOTT next season.

Gstaad-SCOTT ended last season with a Junior World Cup win by Noel Niederberger. It will be quite a challenge to continue with such results in the new season, as Noel will now be racing in the elite category. Everyone on the team is working hard through the winter- training, testing, preparing, and getting excited to let it all out when the World Cup starts in April. Check out what we`ve been up to the last couple of weeks.

New Team Edit

Following our tradition of doing things slightly differently, Gstaad-SCOTT was training and having fun in Southern France together with pump track specialist Adrien Loron and freestyle pro Yannick Granieri. Check out our latest edit from Carpentras and La Grand Combe!

2014 Season Kick-off and DH Team Roster

The 2014 World Cup season is going to challenge the team with new venues and a big variety of different tracks. It will start with a very pedally track in South Africa and then continue with a new World Cup venue in the jungle of Australia, which is where the 1996 World Championships were located. The European part of the World Cup starts traditionally with the spectators favorite in Fort William, Scotland, followed by the popular race in the bikepark of Leogang, Austria.

After a little break, the World Cup continues in the town of all time favorite Mont Sainte Anne, which is going to host the international mountain bike scene for the 24th time. One week later, the World Cup is back in Windham, USA, on a short and technical track. The World Cup finals will take place in a new venue again, this time in Meribel, France. The international racing season finishes with the World Championships in Hafjell, Norway, on one of the most complete and most liked tracks on the circuit.

Brendan Fairclough has been pedalling his road bike more than ever to get ready for South Africa, Emilie Siegenthaler is finally done with her studies and able to focus on racing. Patrick Thome was unstoppable during training over the winter and Noel Niederberger knows that this year, it’s going to be a different game in the elite field.

Gstaad-SCOTT will attend several other events in between the World Cups, such as IXS Downhill Cups, Crankworx, Red Bull Rampage and more. More info onwww.gstaad-scott.com

“I’ve seen how every single rider on the team has stepped it up and put a huge effort into training and preparing. I can’t wait to see them back on the race track. It’s time to let it out”
